I am glad you enjoyed the Cynthia post, seems we all have a soft spot for Cynthia. If our store ever upgrades to new forms of mannequins I have already put in a request for Ming, who has the most campy fabulous hair. I can't help but wonder where Cynthia is though. I just hope she isn't in pieces. One of my readers also wonder if Saks Fifth Avenue had a special placard somewhere in her honor, in the store for her contribution to be a fabulous personality in New York City? Thankfully he was enchanted by the fact that I was rarely without a small bear called Hereford about my person, usually in my pocket with just his head sticking out. Poor Hereford never made it to an opera house however which I now see was very remiss of me, but he is enjoying a retirement spent mostly sleeping on my dressing table.

If you are not aware of this paper, published in the Veterinary Record, you might rather enjoy reading it I think. http://staff.washington.edu/freitz/Diseases%20of%20Brunus%20edwardii.pdfAnnie Cholewahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17608057589525908147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8102162146315706774.post-89202236093675855512014-09-08T10:25:37.850+01:002014-09-08T10:25:37.850+01:00Ridiculous as it may appear, we derive huge enjoym...Ridiculous as it may appear, we derive huge enjoyment from both Edward and Teddy and when taken on 'outings' they certainly add interest and at times create something of a stir!!

We are delighted to know, Trish, that you and your husband share an enthusiasm for bears. Dear Jane and Lance, I ...Me again....I am returned! Dear Jane and Lance, I loved reading about your Bears and am reminded of Aloysius, Sebastian's Teddy bear from 'Brideshead Revisited'. According to Wikipedia, he was drawn from Sir John Betjeman's Teddy who was called Archibald Orsmby-Gore, Evelyn Waugh was friends with Sir John at University.
I seem to remember reading about Lester Gaba somewhere. She looks beautiful, must have behaved impeccably and obviously never kept him waiting whilst she re-did her make-up. The mannequins of today look really similar to Cynthia so I hope he patented his design.

I love how utterly outrageous you both are, I wish I could grab on to your tailcoats!!
