In some ways, that is a pity but, perhaps, for the factory workers, conditions could have been improved for everyone's benefit.<br /><br />The supermarket which replaced the factory took over the whole site. Perhaps these days with so much more concern for planning regulations and preservation, more of the old buildings and, perhaps, even the chimney stack, would have been kept.<br /><br />Yes, you are right about the labels and the ladybird books.
